For the last couple of years, alfalfa studio has been working closely with Yoyonation in various design projects such as the graphics for the Yoyo Open 2009, as well as another highly anticipated project for the yoyo community to launch later this year (shhhhhh, top secret!).
Because we know that yoyo players don’t follow trends and appreciates uniquely designed clothing, alfalfa-seeds and Yoyonation are proud to launch a special collection of limited edition high-quality t-shirts.
Our mission was to reintroduce yoyo as part of our diverse pop culture. Alfalfa studio starts the design process by closely examining everyday objects, cult films and icons of pop culture. The studio brainstorms with Yoyonation to select and refine one final design. Then, we look at various color fabrics against the selected image. Each edition is carefully and meticulously illustrated and comes in limited edition of 100. We pay attention to every single detail to make sure the final product will be something that the community will value.
This mad Mummy is the lovechild of New York City street fashion and Yoyo culture. It popped out of the crazy imagination of designer Rafael Esquer at alfalfa studio and Yoyonation’s own Pat Cuartero.
