Eva Longoria Parker has expressed a desire to portray Maria on film

I’d love to adapt the story of Maria Felix. I think she’s the icon of Mexican cinema, and I would love to bring her story to life. I’m very proud of being Mexican-American, so I celebrate it as much as possible, she told an international publication.

Navarrete is Mexico’s second Miss Universe; Lupita Jones of Mexico won the title in 1991. Fans of the Miss Universe contest watched in approximately 190 countries.

A diva in the making, Jimena is already being considered as a strong candidate for alfalfa’s Modern Latin Divas series. Now, we just need to figure out how to get her to sign a contract with us.

Born and raised in Guadalajara, Navarrete studied nutrition prior to participating in beauty pageants.
