The photoshoot for Tony Di Spigna “No Shit!” collection was a blast! Thank you to all models that volunteered to be part of this fun day. Unfortunately, given the time constrains we couldn’t fly all the beautiful people that graciously volunteered from other countries. We had to keep it local to New York City area.

Collection includes a black t-shirt/silver print, and black and natural tote canvas bags
The photo shoot took place on the beautiful streets of SoHo and read this entry »

No doubt the one that comes to mind is that stencilled image of Che Guevara.
But I often wonder why Latin culture is not represented by a female icon. After all, Latin America has given birth to some of the most charismatic women of our time.

My admiration for strong, resilient Latin women began, of course, with the women in my own family in Mexico: my mother, a hard-working ranchera; and my grandmother, a wise matriarch with 14 children.
To honor and celebrate the spirit of Latin women, I have created Seven Latin Divas, the second T-shirt collection from alfalfa seeds. Seven immortal women from the worlds of film, art, music, and politics are the stars. I believe any of them deserves to become the Latin icon for our century.

I have created these original graphic images in a striking posterized style. Hand-drawn, they are reminiscent of the statuesque image of Che Guevara that instantly deified him as a symbol of defiance—and later as an icon of radical chic.

We continue working on ideas for alfalfa seeds upcoming collection 7 Days of the Week. This is an interesting challenge. How do you capture the essence of one day of the week using only typography or lettering and color as your main design element.
For Tuesday, we invited our friends at MyOrgangeBox to contribute. read this entry »
After long weeks of planning a photo shoot for alfalfa-seeds’ Latin Divas collection…I’m happy to share with you few images fresh out of my camera.
Guess what? None of these images have been retouched at all. That’s right! These kids are that good looking, or is it the t-shirt?
